Since September 2025, the TBI has investigated EIGHT use-of-force incidents by task force members, FOUR of them FATAL shootings: Darrin Pigram, Jonah Neal, Tyrin Johnson, and Alfonso Ivy.

We were told this was about safety. But crime was already falling in Memphis before the task force arrived, with nearly 500 fewer people shot in 2025 than the year before. An occupying force with no accountability, open investigations into officer conduct of their stay keep moving. The NAACP has demanded the task force be suspended.

Four families are grieving. Memphis citizens deserve answers, transparency, and oversight. Task items they are not getting from task force or Congressman David Kustoff who touts the “results” of the occupying force in his own district. Time for change. Vote Heidi Kuhn for Congress.
